Some snippets from Vince’s diary and lifeAGING BUT DOING WELLVince continues to muddle along. He’s had us all thinking he’s deaf AND blind, but on the rare occasions that he’s been left outside when we’ve been out for a short time (I think that happened about three times in 2005, so not a common experience for him) he managed to figure out we were home and get himself out of the garden bed at the very back of the garden and to the back door very promptly, even though we came in through the front door. His schnozz is clearly still okay as well. Found him in the loungeroom helping himself to our three year old’s gingerbread house last week. Vincy had managed to find it in a room he never really goes into, get it off the table, and was quietly enjoying himself when it dawned on me he wasn’t in any of his normal spots in the back room and I went looking for him. I worry about him and he’s very skilled at making me feel sorry for him, but I think he continues to be happy and to have a pretty good life. He’s snoring on the rug in front of me as I write. – Kelly Murray 2-1-06 |
